eddie_dodd's Veridical Series

Five modulation effects for VCV Rack 2, free and open source.

A flanger, a chorus, a phaser, a ring modulator and an envelope follower. All stereo, all polyphonic to sixteen channels, with a CV input and attenuverter on every control.

Three modules in the VCV library carry the Flanger tag and none of them is a flanger. No phaser in the library has been rebuilt since 2025.

GPL-3.0-or-later, for Windows, macOS and Linux. Free, with no account, no key and nothing to activate.

The five

• Flanger. Short modulated delay with bipolar feedback. Negative feedback gives the hollow version rather than the resonant one.
• Chorus. Longer delay, two, three or four voices spread around the LFO cycle.
• Phaser. Four, six or eight allpass stages with feedback.
• Ring Mod. Internal sine carrier, replaced by whatever you patch into the carrier input.
• Env Follower. Attack and release follower with envelope and gate outputs, so the other four can be driven from audio.

All of them stereo, all polyphonic to sixteen channels, with a CV input and its own attenuverter on every continuous control.

If you want to hear about the next one

The download above needs nothing from you, and the source is on GitHub under the GPL, so anyone who has a copy may pass it on. This is a request rather than a toll: leave an address and you will hear when these modules are updated or when there are more of them.

Who made it

eddie_dodd is a separate project from Amplified Futures, listed here because it is worth having. There is music under the same name if you want it.
