Choosing a product and paying through PayPal is your offer to buy. The contract is formed when the licence key is sent to you. If a price is displayed wrongly and the error is obvious, the order may be declined and the payment returned in full.
The contract language is English.
All prices are in USD ($). Prices shown are the total amount payable. No sales tax, VAT or consumption tax is added at checkout. Depending on where you live, your own tax authority may treat an import of digital services as your responsibility.
There are no delivery charges, because there is nothing to deliver physically.
Licence keys are currently issued by hand after payment clears, normally within two working days. This is not an instant download, and it is said here rather than discovered afterwards.
The software itself is downloaded from this site or from GitHub.
The VCV Rack modules are MIT-licensed. Use them commercially, modify them, redistribute them, with or without paying anything. A donation buys no additional rights, because none are withheld.
The commercial plug-ins are proprietary. Purchase grants you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual licence to install and use the plug-in on machines you control, including in commercial work. There is no activation limit and no machine count.
You may not redistribute the software, resell it, sublicense it, or share your licence key. You may not remove the licensing mechanism. Reverse engineering is permitted only to the extent that applicable law says it cannot be prohibited — which in the EU includes interoperability under Article 6 of Directive 2009/24/EC.
Your key carries the name and email it was issued to. The deterrent to sharing it is not a technical lock; it is that a shared key has your name inside it.
The subscription is not open. There is a waitlist rather than a checkout, and nothing recurring can currently be started.
When it opens: the price, the billing interval and the renewal date will be shown before you agree to anything; you will be able to cancel at any time from your PayPal account without contacting anyone; and cancelling keeps every licence already issued to you, since those do not expire and there is nothing to switch off.
You have 14 days to cancel and be refunded. How to do it, and the model cancellation form, are on the refunds and cancellation page.
The software is supplied as it is. It is tested, and the testing is public, but it is not warranted to be error-free or fit for any particular purpose.
Nothing here removes rights you have by law. If you buy as a consumer in the EU, the UK, Australia or New Zealand, you have statutory guarantees about conformity and quality that cannot be excluded, and they apply in full. Where liability may lawfully be limited, it is limited to the amount you paid. Liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and for fraud, is not excluded — it cannot be.
These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. If you buy as a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in your own courts.
Bugs go to the public issue tracker, and anyone may report one whether or not they have paid. A crash or data loss is prioritised above everything else regardless of who reports it.
Licence, payment and complaint matters go to business@prompt-forge.dev rather than the public tracker — do not paste a licence key into a public issue.
