Amplified Futures builds modular instruments and audio plugins for bass pressure, drone density, damaged time, and controlled overload. The Branca Series is the research line: nineteen VCV Rack modules where the ideas get worked out.
Every instrument connects to at least one of these. They are not marketing categories — they are the problems the DSP is built around.
Bass, sub, rumble, tuned low-end mass. Control over the relationship between weight and clarity, not just loudness.
Drone swarms, microtonal beating, harmonic mass. Many voices controlled as one gesture.
Warped timing, chopped rhythm, degraded loops. Systems that come apart in a shaped way.
Pattern generation from musical negative space — what is not played, rather than what is.
Nineteen VCV Rack 2 modules for massed tone, harmonic density, microtonal beating and feedback structures. Massed oscillators, a modal string sequencer, an insect sample engine, and a clock that sags under load.
It is the open-source research line. The DSP that ends up in the commercial instruments gets worked out here first, in public, under MIT.
Six instruments extend the Branca research into performance-ready tools. They are at 0.9.1 — complete and tested, not yet through a full listening pass — and are half price while that is true. Buying now includes every later version at no extra cost.
